Information And Guide To Knight Muzzleloading Guns
Knight Revolution II
The Knight Revolution II is an unique muzzleloader unlike any other Knight gun. It is loaded from the muzzle like all Knight guns, however instead of a bolt or open hammer it uses a "falling block" type action to seat the 209 primer with a full plastic jacket. Once closed the primer is sealed and protected from the elements in the weatherproof action. Another first for the Knight Revolution is a trigger assembly that is easily removed from the action without tools. Clean-up is fast and easy as once the trigger mechanism is removed the breech plug can be removed without any other disassembly of the gun. The breech plug itself has been redesigned to eliminate blowback so the action itself stays clean, eliminating one more clean-up chore.
The Knight Revolution II comes in a black stock with blued action and barrel or in one of three stainless models, black synthetic stocked, camo synthetic stock, or a wood laminate stock as in the picture. It is also available in Knight's exclusive .52 caliber for hunters wanting serious knock down power for big game hunting.
When the Knight Revolution was first produced Knight was very slow releasing them onto the market. The problem was one out of ten to fifteen guns was having excessive blowback into the action when fired. A number of guns also had misfires because the firing pin did not strike with sufficent force to fire the primer. Even worse the misfiring guns tended to work fine on the range in warm weather but then fail to fire in hunting season when their action and springs were cold.
To Knight's credit they recongnized the problem and replaced under warranty any Revolution with problems. The Knight Revolution II has a much stronger firing pin spring and its breech plug is redesigned to funnel gas pressure differently so blowback is never a problem. It is now an absolutely reliable hunting muzzleloader.
